Abstract
Breakdown voltages have been measured in SF6, nitrogen and air for temperatures upto 473°K (200°C) and gas pressure in the range 0.4 to 9.4 torr using brass coaxial cylindrical electrodes of fixed gap distance (5mm). The results clearly demonstrate the failure of similarity theorem in all the three gases.
