Abstract

Arc fault in DC system is an un-negligible hazard which should to be cut off immediately for system safety. In order to describe the character of the arc fault, an accurate arc model is in urgent need. This paper proposed a new method to confirm the parameters of Habedank model which used in DC system. The volt-ampere characteristics of arc from simulation and experiment are compared. Comparison shows that the method this paper proposed can simulate the characteristics of impedance of DC arc fault well.
