The antenna is composed of a square ring and occupies about 7.91 GHz bandwidth covering 3.09-11 GHz. The experimental and simulated results exhibit good agreement. The characteristics of the proposed antenna are analyzed, and the geometry parameters for optimal performance are also investigated in detail. A quasi-omnidirectionally and quasi- symmetrically radiation pattern in y-z plane is obtained. Abstract
