Abstract

This paper presents the linearization of a polar transmitter for EDGE applications. The methodology used, complements the modulation of drain bias, vDD(t) with a proper variation of the input drive level, vg(t). It is believed to improve the linearity, while maintaining the efficiency of such transmitters.
