The Role of the US and the EU in Central Asia in the New Geopolitical Realities

Abstract

Currently, in the context of the global confrontation between Russia and the West, the US and the EU will use all the possible means capable of creating viable competition against Chinese and Russian projects, as well as various formats of regional integration of all five Central Asian countries, by creating effective projects in all spheres of their political, economic and cultural life in order to become as attractive as possible for the region. Meanwhile, the desire of both the US and the EU to take a key position in the region will depend not only on the success of their policy there, but also on the position of Central Asian countries in the context of their making a right choice between key powers competing for the influence in the region.
