Abstract

In heterogeneous network (Het-Net) deployment, when multiple low-power node base stations (i.e., relay, pico, and femto) are deployed outdoor and indoor in the same frequency across macro coverage, the geographical coverage overlap can cause unbalanced cost resource allocation and severe co-channel interference. A scheme of multi-domain cooperative cost resource management in Het-Net is proposed for the mixed outdoor + indoor heterogeneous scenario, which can effectively allocate the load resource and power resource across domains. By the genetic algorithm, the optimal solution for minimizing the network cost resource can be obtained. In numerical evaluation, the cost resource usage in proposed scheme is better than that in the traditional intra-domain scheme.
