Abstract

Problem of plane wave scattering on the gyrotropic 1D magnetophotonic crystal controlled by dc magnetic field is solved. Fundamental solutions of the Hill equation in periodic structure layers are obtained on the base of Floquet theory. The dispersion equation for unbounded magnetophotonic crystal is obtained. Analytical expressions for transmission and reflection coefficients are obtained in the case of bounded magnetophotonic crystal. Possibility of the narrowband filtering is shown in the case of surface waves regimes in periodic structure.
