Abstract

Clean drinking water is a basic human need. Automation serves a vital role in the safe and reliable operation of a water treatment plant in providing safe drinking water. This paper focuses on an innovative and intelligent control and monitoring system for Water Treatment Plant by using "Raspberry Pi" as an effective alternative to PLCs for the automation of small water treatment plants. Raspberry Pi is a minicomputer which has an ability to control the system comes with advantages like low cost and compact size.
