Abstract
Present development in semiconductor technology makes RF power amplifier as the effective alternative for high power amplifier to combine the power from many RF source modules. In this work, the isolation, insertion loss and return loss performance of different configurations of Gysel Power Divider are analyzed with the operating frequency of 2.4 GHz using the ADS software. Initially the works start from ideal five port Gysel power combiner (GPD), then to power failure of any one module analysis with solution by integrated switches. The proposed work has been extended with four way and eight way power combiner for operation at 2.4 GHz. The lower return loss upto -16.55 dB and insertion loss up to 3.010 dB has been found at a center frequency of 2.4 GHz. The operating bandwidth ranges from 2.1 GHz to 2.7 GHz for four ways and eight way GPD with unequal power ratio has been achieved. In the propose structures the available flexibility in choosing the terminated resistor provides easy in circuit realization.
