Abstract

Low voltage apparatus engineering has been developing quite intensively lately. Switching devices are constantly being improved and developed, new directions appear, based on the use of non-traditional principles of operation. And this leads to stringent requirements for stability and the level of resistance of contact joints. The paper presents a study of the resistances of the contact connections of switching equipment based on statistical information. Low voltage switching devices (magnetic starters, circuit breakers, contactors, etc.) are mass products, which have rather high requirements for their technical characteristics.
