SUCH A METHOD IS SUGGESTED THAT EMPLOYS ELASTIC SOLUTIONS FOR THE SETTLEMENT OF AN AXIALLY LOADED PILE AND MAKES CERTAIN SIMPLIFYING ASSUMPTIONS. Abstract
