Abstract
The contribution to VTK presented in this article is an extension to vtk::vtkDiscreteMarchingCubes to also create vtk::vtkPointData scalars containing the value of the adjacent voxel. These can be used to remove regions of the marching-cubes 1 mesh depending on the local neighborhood.
