The alterations of hotel complexes’ franchise system under the conditions of the inner tourism improvement

Abstract

The franchising is gaining popularity now in the majority of the activity domains, the hotel business is not the exception. The following facts and assumptions are taken into consideration in order to understand the relevance of the franchise system in Russia along with geopolitical and economic circumstances. The notion of the franchise is mentioned, its negative and positive aspects are illustrated.The case about the Radisson-SaS appearance in Sochi was given as an example of the foreign franchise management practices implementation and the consequences of this measure to the hotel practice in Russia. Subsequently, the statistics about the level of hotels’ attractiveness in the period of 2019 and 2022 were given. The perspectives of development in tourism and hotel business are descried in the territory of EAEU. Afterwards, the franchise options of various price segments and the most improved of them are mentioned. Special attention is paid to the hotel complexes which have already made the breakthrough in this sphere. According to such a rather successful experience in the hotel business, several measures in social, ecological and image politics of companies were approved. In conclusion, the negative aspect of the hotel system in Russia that is connected with the low adaptation speed to the geopolitical conditions is highlighted.
