Abstract

As a researcher, my work has largely involved the implementation of evidence-based practices using Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approaches. My primary interest is engaging in community-embedded efforts working alongside providers using CBPR approaches to conduct evaluations and assist with the implementation of evidencebased practices. Often functioning as a methodologist, my work is not limited to a specific setting or population. Rather, I focus on bringing an interdisciplinary team science approach to a diverse set of projects and topic areas. Using my expertise in CBPR and Implementation Science, my strengths lie in guiding capacity building, technical assistance, and implementation factors for a variety of sectors including criminal justice, behavioral health, health care, and other social service settings. My goal is to understand the elements that lead to successful adoption and implementation of evidence-based practices, as well as challenges and how organizations can overcome them.
