Vehicle Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is purposed to avoid long-distance data transmission for situations where only local information is needed. However, it is difficult to update the routing protocol in VANET, so the Software Defined Network (SDN) technology is applied to the VANET network. The SDN structure consists of a data layer and a control layer, and how to arrange the control layer structure will affect system performance. In this paper, we approximate the placement problem of the control layer as a facility location problem, and propose a distributed algorithm to better solve this problem. Abstract
