Safety culture and some associated factors at Pham Ngoc Thach hospital in 2018

Abstract

Background: Adverse events have extreme effects on the patient. Objectives: identify the proportions safety culture score at Pham Ngoc Thach hospital in 2018 and some associated factors Methods: a cross-section study, the sample size is 154 staff of Pham Ngoc Thach hospital; Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSOPSC). Results: Total safety culture score is 71,9% and approximates with results of Tăng Chí Thượng et, al. (69,9%). Patient safety culture is not different between career titles (doctor, nurse, others); workload; work experience at Phạm Ngọc Thạch Hospital. Conclusions: Total safety culture score is 71,9%. Factors like career titles, number of working hours, and work experience do not affect the culture of patient safety.
