Abstract

The grounding mode of the medium voltage direct current distribution system based on the modular multi-level converter is very important for the reliability of power supply system, overvoltage and insulation coordination, relay protection, communication interference, and system stability and so on. Firstly, from the main characteristics of the medium voltage direct current distribution system based on the modular multi-level converter, the types of grounding modes and the types of fault are summarized.
