Abstract

Andrew J.R. Jackson delivers taught programmes in the humanities and heritage for the School of Education and Lifelong Learning, University of Exeter. Research interests include developments in the theory and practice of local history, as well as new empirical approaches (such as the use of the 1941-1943 National Farm Survey). He also teaches for the WEA and SOlnerset County Council, and becalne the editor of the journal of the Devon History Society, The Devon Historian, in 2005.
