Selection Of LV motor feeder component based on IEC standards

Abstract

This paper explains about selection of motor feeder components like contactor, overload relay and short circuit protective device based on IEC standards. Selection of motor feeder component depends on motor rated current, motor starting current, motor starting time, characteristic of short circuit protection device, etc. This paper also explains about selection of cable and selecting the overload relay curve for motor using ETAP.
