Survey on the application of blockchain in Digital Rights Protection

Abstract

The current Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a centralized management system, that the private and sensitive information may be leaked, and data barriers exist between various platforms. The decentralization and traceability of blockchain provide new ideas and solutions for the standardization of digital rights protection. The consensus algorithm is the core of blockchain technology, but it cannot be directly applied to digital rights protection because of their drawbacks. Researchers have optimized and improved the consensus algorithm to meet the needs of digital rights protection. This paper reviews the application of blockchain in digital rights protection, and analyses their improvements of the consensus algorithm.
