ROLE OF HIGHER EDUCATION: ALIGNMENT OF NEW EDUCATION POLICY WITH THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Abstract

NEP 2020 is the first education policy of the 21st century. The aim of this policy is to address the many growing developmental issues of our country. The main objective is to revamp the entire education system according to the education pertaining in the 21st century. NEP professes to align itself to the Millennium Development Goals defined by the United Nations. The prime aim is to focus on the primary and secondary education of all children which is stated in Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4.
