Abstract

OpenAL-Soft is a 3D audio application programming interface (API), which can be used to render the 3D virtual soundscape through sound signal processing based on the head-related transfer functions (HRTFs). However, the performance is still unsatisfied because of the oversimplified HRTF dataset that is left-right symmetrical and incomplete in spatial sampling.
