Abstract

Wireless links with high latency are commonplace in pervasive computing, but because TCP reacts adversely to increases in bandwidth or delay, present network transport protocol cannot offer a steady environment for the high bandwidth-delay networks. The network congestion control problem is becoming mo re and more serious. High bandwidth-delay networks are environments where the per-flow bandwidth can reach several Gb/s, so the receiver's speed should be taken into account.
