Abstract

Frequency is an extremely important operating parameter of power system, and dynamic analysis of power system frequency is the basis for frequency stability analysis and control. Deep study of the dynamic behavior of system frequency and regional frequency can provide sufficient theoretical basis for evaluating the frequency stability of power system and developing frequency protection strategies. This paper expounds the definition and classification of frequency stability, and summarizes characteristics of three dynamic analysis methods of power system frequency: detailed time domain simulation method, single machine equivalent model method and artificial intelligence method and their advantages and disadvantages, providing basis and reference for related researches.
