Accounting for microtraumas at work as a basis for preventing and minimizing the risk of damage to workers' health

Abstract

Since March 1, 2022, the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, along with the concept of an accident, establishes the concept of micro-injury (microtrauma). This is an innovation for Russian legislation. The article discusses what is meant by microtraumas, why it is necessary to keep records of microtraumas, and how microtraumas differ from an accident. The obligations of the employer to account for and consider the circumstances and reasons that led to employees» microtraumas (the basis and procedure of production) are considered. The draft recommendations of the Ministry of Labor of Russia on the accounting of micro-injuries (microtraumas) of workers are presented.
