Abstract
The high interconnection of power systems improves the economic benefit and power supply reliability of power grid operation. However, it also makes the problem of short-circuit current prominent. At present, most short-circuit current suppression schemes are evaluated by engineering experience and complex calculations. There is no reasonable assessment method for short-circuit current suppression schemes. In this paper, the short-circuit current security margin index, power flow transfer ratio index, and power supply ability assessment index are proposed. In addition, the adaptability of the short-circuit current suppression scheme in the future, the investment economy, and the difficulty of power grid construction must be considered. The open-loop suppression scheme of the electromagnetic loop network is comprehensively assessed based on the above factors. The optimal short-circuit current suppression scheme is selected. A practical example is used to verify the effectiveness and adaptability of the proposed assessment method.
