ACE: a software framework for autonomic appliances computing

Abstract

The paper presents a software framework for an autonomic home ubiquitous computing environment called ACE system. This system is designed and implemented to reduce the users' burden of operating networked appliances. The ACE system enables autonomic behavior of the home ubiquitous computing environment with its sensing, planning, and operating functionalities.
