Abstract

A novel wrench-shaped monopole-like microstrip slot antenna for ultrawideband (UWB) use is designed and fabricated in this paper. The proposed antenna is composed of a wrench-shaped radiating patch to achieve ultrawide frequency band. The impedance matching is improved by etching double T-shaped slots on the background plane.
