Implementation of interleaved single stage five level cascaded type PFC AC-DC converter

Abstract

Converter takes a major role in power electronics. Here interleaved Single stage five level cascaded type PFC AC-DC converter is presented. Interleaving the converter helps to improve the efficiency by means of reducing the distortion in the harmonics. The rectifier which is proposed does not contain any dead band and the output current is a continuous one. The converter proposed is a single stage type where both the inductor introduced shares half of the current and the ripple factor is reduced.
