A MEDIAÇÃO INTERNACIONAL NO CONTEXTO DA CONVENÇÃO DE SINGAPURA: OS EFEITOS PRÁTICO-JURÍDICOS NO COMÉRCIO INTERNACIONAL BRASILEIRO

Abstract

Assinada pelo Brasil em julho de 2021, a Convenção de Singapura que versa sobre a mediação no contexto do comércio internacional prometeu facilitar as relações comerciais através da regulamentação e promoção do instituto da mediação. Por conseguinte, diante do cenário comercial brasileiro, será verificado objetivamente os possíveis reflexos práticos e jurídicos trazidos por essa convenção diante da expectativa de eventual ratificação no Brasil. Para tanto, utilizou-se de um estudo descritivo por meio do método hipotético-dedutivo, com procedimento metodológico de pesquisas bibliográficas e documentais. Apesar de recente, a Convenção de Singapura representou um marco regulatório para a mediação internacional comercial, sendo que, no Brasil, no caso de eventual ratificação, poderá contribuir para a evolução do comércio internacional com reflexos positivos para a economia e outras áreas correlatas. Comércio Internacional.   ABSTRACT Signed by Brazil in July 2021, the Singapore Convention on mediation in the context of international trade promised to facilitate commercial relations through the regulation and promotion of the mediation institute. Therefore, in view of the Brazilian commercial scenario, the possible practical and legal consequences brought about by this convention will be objectively verified in view of the expectation of eventual ratification in Brazil. For that, a descriptive study was used through the hypothetical-deductive method, with a methodological procedure of bibliographical and documentary research. Despite being recent, the Singapore Convention represented a regulatory framework for international commercial mediation, and in Brazil, in case of eventual ratification, it could contribute to the evolution of international trade with positive effects on the economy and other related areas.
