The sensors on the floor have become smart with additional computational capabilities compared to passive acquisition nodes. We merged these two entities and evaluated the distributed computing of PLC load on smart sensors on an industrial automation framework. We have utilized SoC (Raspberry Pi) to build a SMART sensor which has allowed us to create a distributed and scalable sensor network structure. Abstract
