Reflection

Abstract

Graduation studio „Maastricht, City of Stone”, within the chair of Interiors Buildings Cities, interprets the year theme City as an Archive, by looking into the material culture and craft in the city of Maastricht. Investigation into the art of building, use of natural stone and it’s value for the city, leads to the architectural intervention. The design approach proposes a new way of dealing with the material context, craft and ways of building in regards to natural stone and cities cultural heritage.
