Abstract

The present MCS (Mission Critical Service) will be totally changed by the enhanced function and novel feature of 5G network, which remains at a beginning stage of commercialization. In the evolving 5G communication, ProSe (Proximity based Service) benefits a lot for Mission Critical Service by supporting different application with the short latency and real time communication. This paper first introduces the development of MCS and the significance of ProSe. And then the frame and scenarios of MCS over ProSe are elaborated based on the understanding of the authors. After that, the existing advantages and potential challenges of mission critical system with the deployment of proximity based service are concluded and analyzed, while several suggestions are proposed to improve its performance.
