Simulation of the shielding clothing Shielding Effectiveness

Abstract

Shielding clothing is widely used in our life to protect people from the hazard of the electromagnetic energy. Shielding Effectiveness(SE) is used to evaluate the performance of the shielding clothing. In this paper simulate software COSMOL is used to simulate the SE of the shielding clothing. Simulate results show that the clothes can isolate the electromagnetic energy from the source, in addition to the open areas such as seams, cuffs etc. have decreased the performance of the shielding clothing significantly. Some fashion shielding clothing such as women's skirts have a poor SE.
