Abstract

A short-exposure solar image observed on the ground is given as the convolution of a solar surface structure and an instantaneous point-spread-function (PSF) of an atmosphere-telescope system 1. Thus, one can hardly observe finer structure on the solar surface than a seeing-disk size. The iterative blind deconvolution (BD) proposed by Ayers and Dainty 2 is a powerful tool for recovering the solar image atmospherically degraded.
