So, we propose Cognitive Radio enabled VANET (CR-VANET) for the better spectrum availability. This paper proposes spectrum and traffic aware routing protocol with cooperative information collection method for achieving better efficiency. The methodology first senses the spectrum holes and allocates channel using cooperative spectrum sensing. Then the relay node is selected from the road weight obtained by our traffic aware routing algorithm. We consider vehicle to vehicle (V2V) communication for a highway scenario. Abstract
