Abstract

Energy issues and climate change are the most concerned issues in the world today. However, the situation of coal-based energy structure, oil and natural gas which are the primary energy supply in China, makes the low-carbon development of China's economic and social facing great challenges. Power system occupies a central position in the energy strategy, and the low-carbon development of the power industry is an important guarantee to achieve sustainable development and China's carbon dioxide emission reduction targets. Therefore, this paper takes the low-carbon development potential as the research goal, and analyses the low-carbon technology and low-carbon benefits of the power source side, power transmission and distribution network side and power consumption side respectively, and the research results have great reference value for the development of China's power grid.
