Abstract

This paper proposes a comparison between Single diode model and Double diode model of photovoltaic (PV) module using MATLAB Simulink in a PV-Battery system. The main concern of this work is to calculate total output power of the PV-Battery system using MATLAB by varying Module voltage, current and considering other parameters like Irradiance, Cell and Ambient temperature for both diode models in simulink and to compare them to show that the best model for functioning of this system is Double diode model.
