Abstract

The continuous growth in mobile broadband subscriptions and the huge increase in data usage demand in recent years drives the efforts for achieving higher throughput in telecom networks. Higher throughput helps users to save time in downloading or uploading their data and also enables them to use applications and services requiring higher data speeds like online gaming and video streaming. Evidence from existing operators shows that when subscribers experience higher throughput, their data usage increases which provide a recurring revenue boost.
