Abstract
Summary form only given. Plasma ignition of the coal-air mixture employs pre-gasification of coal, which allows its ignition in boilers of Heat and Power stations without additional fuels, namely, natural gas or fuel oil. A microwave plasma is used to heat an air-fuel mixture (fuel mixture) to a temperature of release of volatile components of coal gasification and partial carbon residue. Therefore, regardless of the quality of coal, a coal-air mixture of highly reactive two-component fuel (fuel gas and coke) is obtained.
