Abstract

A review of the book "Monumental Wall Painting (MURAL XXL)" by Claudia Walde presented. The book is a well-illustrated edition with a short description of the works of the artists chosen by the author. The analysis of the structure of the book, the content and the main ideas carried out. Much attention paid to the author himself, who works in the direction of monumental wall painting. The artists selected in the book are the pioneers of the direction, and the representatives of their creativity maximally reveal the features of their concept, technique, traditions, color and compositional solutions, and difficulties in creating large-scale monumental painting.
