Abstract

This paper traces to the source about the nuclear concept of "the mass" in"the mass culture";and under the Chinese and Western cultural backgrounds,it probes into the abundant meanings of "the mass",which can provide a meaningful and logic starting point for the contemporary study on the mass culture.
