On the interplay between asymptotic and numerical methods to solve differential equations problems

Abstract

Asymptotic and numerical methods usually represent two independent approaches to solve applied mathematical problems, in particular for ordinary or partial differential equations. Here we present some cases when both techniques are used simultaneously, in a complementary way, rather than being considered as an alternative to each other.
