Antenna Type I is surrounded by a L-shaped isolator extended ground for higher isolation and wideband resonance. Abstract

A novel planar multi-band MIMO antenna system with eight elements for mobile application is investigated. The proposed MIMO system consists of four printed planar inverted - F antenna elements and four folded monopole antenna elements. The folded monopole antenna operates over a wide frequency range of 1.71-3.91 GHz, which covers the long-term evolution (LTE), worldwide interpretability microwave access (WiMAX) and wireless local area network (WLAN) in 4G and 5G communication systems.
