Abstract
In order to improve the mechanical method of bamboo fiber, mechanical extraction of bamboo fiber is discussed. The mechanical method of bamboo fiber cannot meet the requirements of large-scale production. Through the study of the structure and mechanical properties of bamboo, the theory of bamboo fiber extraction by torsional cutting is put forward. The feasibility of the method is preliminarily verified by the experiment. The relationship between torsion angle and torque, bamboo wall thickness, bamboo radius and bamboo length was established. According to the experimental data of fresh bamboo, it is found that the calculated values are in good agreement with the theoretical results. When the twist angle is about 50°~220°, the destruction of the bamboo substrate is basically realized. The slipping of the fiber and the matrix is debonding. The twisting and cutting of bamboo fiber is basically feasible.
