The Educ-Entrepreneur Model for Student Learning and Teaching

Abstract

The Algerian Ministry of Microenterprise's action plan, which has been in operation since 2020, aims to support the creation of new start-ups (Ministerial Council, 2020). Indeed, the ministry is working to create a legal, institutional, and functional framework for start-ups, as well as a roadmap for financing these enterprises. In this context, our contribution is to propose the educ-entrepreneur model for formalizing entrepreneurship education in Algerian universities. In this process, the authors have included two key topics to work on: 1) promote educational innovation in higher education; and 2) create concrete projects centered on a key economic sector to encourage the formation of new businesses, thereby promoting local, regional, and national economic development. In this paper, the researchers investigate the implementation of the educ-entrepreneur model at Oran 1 University and present preliminary findings.
