Abstract

In this paper, a novel method is proposed to achieve high range resolution imaging with orthogonal sub-band frequency diverse array. In the proposed system, the signals transmitted by adjacent subarray has a frequency increment which is close to signal bandwidth. When transmits narrow band signals, this system has the ability of Moving Target Indication (MTI). Meanwhile, this system is capable of high-resolution imaging by splicing spectrum technique. This paper focuses on the application of the proposed method in SAR imaging to obtain high range resolution imaging by spectrum splicing. Simulation results have verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
