Abstract

This paper presents an intelligent gain scheduling adaptive control approach for nonlinear plants. A fuzzy PI discrete controller is optimally designed by using a multiobjective genetic algorithm for simultaneously satisfying the following specifications: overshoot and settling time minimizations and output response smoothing.
