Abstract

Component-oriented programming has provided a promising approach for software reuse. This promise is partially substantiated by the ability of components to be easily substituted, and the provision of an extensive range of interchangeable software components. The trend toward providing services on the Internet has also provided the opportunity to reuse software across the Internet.
