Centrex services and CO-LAN in an ISDN environment

Abstract

The relation between Centrex service and integrated services digital network (ISDN) technology is discussed. The advantages and the synergies arising in the introduction of Centrex in ISDN are described, with particular emphasis on the access/network signaling and on the offered services aspects. In addition, two different ways of providing ISDN users with Centrex services and relevant ISDN-based central office local area network (CO-LAN) issues are analyzed.<>
